"Tightrope" by CHVRCHES // Originally by Janelle Monae
Last month, at Billboard’s "Women in Music" event, Chvrches played their take on Janelle Monae's hit, “Tightrope” (who is also in the audience and loving every minute of the performance). The result was pretty much what you would expect from Chvrches (and i mean that in a positive way), in that they pretty much made it one of their own by shifting the upbeat bounce of the original, into a downtempo synth pop jam that straddles the line between dancefloor anthem and bedroom heartbreaker. The performance is prefaced by an intro from Lauren Mayberry that calls for a time for change in the way women in music are often presented. Check it out.

Thanks for the help Plusle
WHOAH. HOLD ON. EXCUSE ME.
Plusle is helping like you would not even believe. Yeah he can’t use water attacks but so what!
Plusle is the Cheering Pokemon meaning that its entire existance is based around helping out its friends to fight harder and tougher then they ever have. Which is why it’s usually paired with Minun as they are both Cheering Pokemon
You know what move its probably using right now? Helping hand. Do you know what helping hand fucking does?
Yeah that’s right mother fucker. It increases attack power by half. Much less it can stack that mother fucking move multiple times. Meaning it can go up by anywhere from 50% to 200%
That means that Azurils pitiful little spritz of water.. becomes a full on blast of a fire hose. Much less if you wanna talk about Azumarill turning from a fire hose to a high pressure water cannon. If there was ever a fire fighting pokemon team. I would hope to god they have a Plusle or Minun on its team.
Thank you Plusle, for your hard work. You’re the strongest mother fucker on this team.

Omg, that pug!
I remember when I thought people in their 20’s were adults. Now all of my friends are in their 20’s and everybody is just kind of fumbling around bumping into each other, trying to figure out where the free food is
"Walking With a Ghost" by The White Stripes // Originally by Tegan & Sara (2005 // V2 Records)
I missed a day somewhere along the way, so today is a Halloween two-fer. In addition to the jolt of the Oingo Boingo classic, we get a blast of jagged guitars from Jack White to help kickstart your October morning. The White Stripes' cover of Tegan and Sara's hit single, “Walking With A Ghost” is a perfect addition to any Halloween playlist, as it's takes the dance pop fun of the original and layers on the heavy guitars, not to mention Jack White's sharp delivery which adds it's own hint of darkness. While not intentionally a song for the Halloween set, the lyrics - taken at face value - do provide enough of a jump off point in addition to the heaviness that is brought with the White Stripes version, which makes it a good choice for any Halloween mixtape. Almost half done - this time we're 14 of 31 Songs for 31 Days of Halloween. Happy Halloween listening!
